Hi lovely people!
Since tomorrow is Mother’s Day I want to share with you the card for the Woman who lovingly is filling it for the job.
Every year her children and me gift her something for her garden. This year I’ll give her some beautiful bell flowers and lavender. And with the flowers she will receive a matching card – of course.
This card is however a little different than my other cards: I drew the flowers myself. Now, I am not that good at drawing but I thought I’ll give it a shot.
Watercolor Lavender
I opted for a very loose style of lavender stalks that were easy enough to pull off. I started with the stems and then started to paint the flower petals with watercolor.
When the watercolor was dry I went over the image with a black fine liner. Then I stamped my greeting and drew a black line around the card to tie everything together. Lastly, I mounted the panel on a violet card base and voilà.
I sure hope she’ll like it!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you!
