Hi there! Today I want to share with you a couple of cards I made using a technique that is simple but has quite an effect. It is made stamping the same image all over your work surface and then highlighting just one of these images by colouring it in.
The first card in this series I made with a coffee cup stamp from the Lawn Fawn Set “Love You a Latte” which I stamped in rows all over my white cardstock. I then coloured in only one of the coffee cups in bright yellows and oranges with my copic markers. The other images I coloured with greys to accentuate the contrast. For the greeting on the card and also the card base I choose a strip of cardstock that matched the colouring of the highlighted image.
I think that the effect you can achieve with this technique is very cute. So I decided to make a couple more cards… this time with cute critters! For this card I used a Paper Smooches crocodile stamp from the set “Zoo Crew”.
The star on this card is the adorable fox from the Lawn Fawn set “Into the Woods?”
The next card features the cute hedgehog stamp from yet another Lawn Fawn stamp set: “In The Forest”.
And finally another fox (really, who doesn’t love foxes!!) – also from a Lawn Fawn set: “Joy To The Woods”
With all the cards I tried to match either the card base or the greeting with the colouring of the image. Sometimes I managed to match both.
