Today I want to show you 3 cards I made recently using the lovely Gorjuss-stamps, coloured pencils and gamsol. I have to admit that I am a big fan of copics but once in a while I like to try something new.
I heard about gamsol some time ago, I watched several YouTube videos and found the results most stunning. And of course I have very fond childhood memories of coloured pencils. So I decided to get myself a set of gamsol and paper stomps and start the experiment.
Gamsol is a brand name for a blending medium for coloured pencils, an odourless mineral spirit. Basically it is a paint thinner which breaks down the wax in the coloured pencil allowing for beautiful blending.
For my first card I used a very pretty Gorjuss-stamp on white cardstock.
Colouring the image went well and when I felt comfortable using the gamsol I moved on to kraft coloured cardstock. Especially on kraft coloured cardstock I find the effect of coloured pencils dazzling. And even though the cardstock isn’t white the colours still came out vibrant and beautiful.
