When the temperatures finally start to drop and it becomes easier to sleep at night it is time to make the first autumn cards!
Don’t get me wrong, I love summer but August has been crazy hot this year in Austria. It is quite a relief that the temperatures start dropping a little during the night. It makes sleeping a lot easier. And more sleep equals more creative energy that I can put into making cards.
Today I want to share 3 cards with you that feature autumn leaves.
The first two cards I made using masks, stenciling and ink blending. The masks I used are from a Stampedous stamp set with big autumn leaves. For the cards I only used the masks however, not the stamps. After I put down some ink blended background I took the masks and l laid a stencil over it to create the pattern. Then I reinforced the blending inside the masks to accentuate the leaf shapes.
The third card also features autumn leaves. Here I used two Memory Box dies and colored the leaves with ink blending. The card should portray a tree trunk with a hole inhabited by a cute owl. The owl stamp is from Lawn Fawn.
I wish you all a great start into Autumn!
If you still don’t want to let go of summer I have the perfect summer-post for you!
